One of my favorite things to do during the holiday season is go to holiday light tours! I love seeing all the festive lights on buildings, over-the-top lights on homes and fancy Christmas trees in the city! Richmond, Virginia has some of the most amazing light tours! It’s been a family tradition to jump in the car and visit different places in the city. 1. Short Pump Town Center
I love going to Short Pump Town Center because they have some of the best stores for holiday shopping. Check out my blog post Short Pump Town Center- A Gift Guide. I also love their holiday lights and Christmas tree. It’s completely free to take pictures of all the holiday lights and the Christmas tree. Short Pump Town Center also offers a fun train ride around the mall and pictures with Santa.

2. Dominion Energy Gardenfest of Lights
The Gardenfest of Lights is absolutely beautiful! Advanced tickets are required for this event. This event features a half-million holiday lights arranged in botanical themes throughout the garden. This is a walking event so bring a stroller if you have small kids. They also sell hot chocolate and s’mores to warm you up while you walk through the event.

3. The Quirk Hotel
I love visiting this beautiful modern hotel especially during the holidays. During the hotels, The Quirk Hotel is known for their white and pink themed Christmas tree. This would be a perfect photo for the holidays by their Christmas tree. The Quirk Hotel also has a nice lounge seating area and a coffee bar. I love their chai tea latte!

4. Stonypoint Fashion Park
I love Stonypoint Fashion Park Mall because it’s an outdoor mall with lots of space for my kids to run around. There’s also several Christmas trees throughout the mall perfect for taking pictures. Stonypoint Fashion Park is also offering ice skating and horse drawn carriage rides!

5. Richmond Tacky Lights Tour
If you’re looking to stay warm and see some beautiful Christmas lights then you should definitely do the Richmond Tacky Lights Tour. There’s a map and list based on various locations of the different houses you can drive by in the Richmond area!

6. James Center City Lights
The Grand Illumination at the James Center is a fun event. But if you missed this event, you can still stroll through the James Center to see all the beautiful white lights and lighted reindeer!
