Fall is here! I’m so excited to share these healthy fall snacks for kids. I love creating seasonal snacks because it’s a fun way to get my kids excited! The fall season is all about feeling cozy, crisp air, and the flavors of pumpkin, cinnamon, and apple! I always try to find ways that I can incorporate healthier snack options for my kids. Fruit is such an easy snack to use because you can cut it into fun shapes using a cookie cutter. I also love finding simple ways to be creative with these seasonal snacks. So, all the snacks that I’ll be sharing are quick and easy! So here are healthy fall snacks for kids.
What you Need
Mini Pumpkins: Oranges and Celery
Fall Leaves: Maple Leaf Cookies from Wegmans or Trader Joe’s
Caramel Apples: Apples Slices, Caramel Sauce, Fall Sprinkles
Fall Logs: Celery, Almond Butter or Peanut Butter, and Fall Sprinkles
Additional Items to Make it Fun
When I create these fall inspired snacks for my kids I like to decorate the table with a simple fall garland. I got this neutral leaf garland that I added around the snack board from TJ Maxx. Also, you can find fun garland from Michaels and Hobby Lobby. I also like using small charcuterie board for the snacks. You can find various charcuterie boards in the shapes of pumpkins and leaves that would be perfect for the fall season.
Seasonal Snack Tips
At the beginning of the fall season, I like to go to stores like TJ Maxx, Target, Dollar Tree, and Marshalls. I browse the store for simple seasonal items like fall sprinkles, fall shape cookie cutters, pumpkin shape plates, etc. These are simple items that you can use throughout the fall season and your kids will love it. I typically have a basket in my cabinet with all these simple fall items that I’ll add to my snacks. I usually do 2-4 snacks selections when I create these snack boards. These seasonal snacks can be something you do for your kids as an after school treat or maybe a weekend treat. I like to do this a couple times throughout the season.
I hope you were inspired to create some of these healthy snacks for your kids. As always, keep it simple, incorporate new fruits, and be creative with fall shaped cookie cutters! Also, be sure to check out my blog post Fall Bucket List: Family Fun Activities.
