One of the benefits of homeschooling is that you can teach your child in a variety of different ways. I always recommend homeschool families utilize free resources first before spending money on curriculums, books, and activities. As you begin your homeschool journey, you will figure out what works and what doesn’t work for your family. I have gathered 6 free homeschool resources that include curriculums, worksheets, educational games, and activities.

The Good and the Beautiful Curriculum
The Good and the Beautiful is a Christian curriculum offering math, language arts, science, history, and electives. I’ve used the Good and the Beautiful curriculum for my son for Preschool, PreK and Kindergarten. I love that the curriculums don’t require any prep time because there are clear instructions within each lesson on what to say to your child as you teach them. With each academic subject there is an emphasis on family, God, nature, and wholesome literature. The curriculum’s kindergarten through 8th grade curriculum is offered as free downloads. There’s also the option to purchase any of the course book sets to be delivered if you prefer not to download them.

Khan Academy Kids
Khan Academy Kids is a free online resource that offers videos, games, worksheets, and practice exercises for almost every subject. Along with the free website, there is an option for the educational app for kids. Khan Academy Kids is a great resource to help your child improve their learning with a particular subject.

K12 Online Academy
K12 is a tuition-free Public School at home. Although this is more of a modern style version of homeschool, it might be a great option for your family. With K12, your child would be taught by a certified teacher with classmates online.

ABCYA
ABCya is a free online resource that offers fun educational games for grades PreK through 6th grade. Topics include math, reading, typing, and logic games. I love that there’s the option to browse educational games by subject and grade. I love incorporating fun educational games on ABCya into my daily homeschool routine with my kids.

Super Teacher Worksheets
Super Teacher Worksheets is a website full of worksheets for elementary age kids. These worksheets are a great supplement to what you’re teaching your child. There’s also an option to generate your own worksheets. When I’m teaching a new lesson I try to incorporate various worksheets for my child to better understand the concepts.

Local Library
Your local library can be such a great free resource in so many ways. 1). I like to gather various books related to the lessons I’m teaching my kids for the week. 2). The library might be an ideal place to do your homeschool work. Some libraries have meeting rooms or children’s areas that can be a good place for your child to do their homeschool work. 3). Some libraries offer story time, homeschool meetups, and other seasonal activities.
