Self-care isn’t selfish. Those words resonate with me as a mother. After becoming a mother, self-care slowly became the last on my list. However, I knew I needed to make some changes and start incorporating self-care. First, I decided on the best self-care practices that would make me feel happy and also rejuvenate me. Having a monthly spa day dedicated to my wellness sounded perfect! I had an amazing wellness experience with Indigo Therapeutic Massage and Healing located in Richmond, Virginia! The aesthetics of the location was so beautiful and when I first walked in I felt so relaxed and comfortable. I instantly decided that I would visit here frequently for facials and massages. So here is my monthly self-care routine with Indigo RVA.
Organic Facials
I love that Indigo RVA offers a good amount of organic facial services and their products are plant-based. I’ve had so many great experiences with using plant-based and organic products on my face. Laurel Skin is what my esthetician used on my face and my skin felt so amazing. My favorite organic facial service is ‘The Empress.” The focus is to stimulate lymphatic drainage, release muscle tension in my face, and increase circulation. I enjoy getting this facial in the spring months because I struggle with allergies. The lymphatic drainage definitely helped with my sinuses and also my skin looked so clean and fresh after the facial.
Infrared Sauna
I’ve never been in a sauna until my wellness visit with Indigo RVA. I read up on all the benefits of a full spectrum infrared sauna. The sauna is medical grade so it helps with everything from pain relief to detoxification. One of my wellness goals is to do detoxes every month to eliminate any toxins in my body.
